Funeral services for Mrs. Maybelle Richards, age 88, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Carter, Dr. Vic Carter, and Rev. Rubin Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery on the Collinston Rd. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Golden Funeral Home.

Mrs. Richards, a retired quality control inspector for International Paper's Single Service Division and member of Faith Baptist Church, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 at her residence. She was also a member of the Ladies Oriental Shriner's Club of North America and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 148.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Bertha Reynolds; husband, Lloyd W. Richards, Sr., daughter, Marjorie A. Hinkie; grandson, Jeffery Lane Simmons; two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her daughter, Gwen Dickson of Houma, LA; son Lloyd W. "Buddy" Richards and wife Shirley of Bastrop, LA; sister, Imogene Hall of Bastrop, LA; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are: Johnny Legg, Charles Wright, Doug Goyne, Billy Sisson, Jack Cockrell, and Howard Johnston.
