Funeral service for T.B. Sisson, 89, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for Monday, September 6, 2004 at Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Dupree officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Sisson died Saturday, September 4, 2004 at St. Francis Medical Center. Mr. Sisson was owner and operator of Sisson's Grocery, a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, and also served his country during World War II with the U.S. Army.There was never a more kind or generous man on earth. He never had a negative thing to say about anyone or anything, there was always something good no matter what. He is survived by two sons, Billy Sisson and wife Phyllis of Bastrop, LA, Roy Dean Sisson of Bastrop, LA;two sisters, Margaret Bender of Sonora, CA, Nobie Partain of Sonora, CA; six grandchildren, Terri Sisson Russell and husband Greg, Dee Sisson Hobson and husband Warren, Kevin Sisson, Jason Sisson and wife Sally, Jennifer Mathis Spann and husband Tracy, Kara Mathis Ward; nine great grandchildren, Case Russell, Caroline Russell, Brooke Hobson, Kacie Hobson, Cody Sisson, Kyle Sisson, Lauren Sisson, Raychel Sisson, Karli Spann. He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Elsie Hopkins Sisson; daughter, Carlene Sisson Mathis; brothers, Melton Sisson, Wilburn Sisson; sister, Faye Jackson; brother-in-law, Carl Hopkins. Serving as pallbearers are J.H. Lockwood, James Cummins, A.P. Owens, Charles Dumas, Larry Ryder, and Jerry Goodman. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. Visitation will from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, September 5, 2004 at Golden Funeral Home.
