Funeral services for Ruth O'lee Mayo Boone, age 80, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday Sept. 14, 2004, at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in the Christ Church Cemetery. Mrs. Boone, a former retail sales employee and a resident of Bastrop, died Sunday Sept. 12, 2004 at Morehouse General Hospital. Visitation will be held from 5 - 9 p.m. Monday at Goldens. Mrs. Boone was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church and the Family History Club. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Faye Boone Wilson & husband Carl of West Monroe; two sons, Etheridge A. "Speedy" Boone & wife Priscilla of Omaha, AR, and Daniel Boone of Bastrop; two sisters, Elsie Mayo Smith of Baton Rouge and Lucille Mayo Kennedy & husband Bob of Brownwood, TX; four grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband, E.W. Boone; Parents, Crawford Mayo II and Pearl A. Mayo; brothers, Hubert Mayo, Dudley Mayo, Oliver Mayo, Crawford Mayo, Jr., Dorman Mayo; grandchildren, Christy, Jeffery, and Cindy. Pallbearers will be Carl Edward Wilson, Jr., William Strahan, Harry Mayo, Lavon Oliver Mayo, Malcom Mayo and Ricky Gross.
