Obituary of Lillian Jane Crenshaw

Funeral services for Ms. Lillian Jane Crenshaw, 87, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at New Hope Baptist Church in Jones, LA, with Rev. Terry Young officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope cemetery. Ms. Crenshaw, a homemaker and resident of Jones, La, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was known to be excellent at quilting and cooking. She also enjoyed playing Dominoes. Ms. Crenshaw is survived by daughter, Sandra K. Crenshaw of Monroe, LA; son, George E. Young, Jr., & wife Jackie of Swartz, LA; sister, Iva Nell Harris & husband Donald of Wilmot, AR; brothers, Laurie Barthol & wife Clara Lee of Jones, LA, Robert Earl Barthol & wife Nellie of Hamburg, AR, and Billy Merle Barthol & wife Theresa of Jones, LA; six grandchildren, Derrick LaForge, Kellie Stevens, Angie Stewart, Jeannie Pederson, Jason Young, Terry Young and fourteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Crenshaw; parents, Ivan & Alder Barthol; son, Donny Ray Crenshaw; brothers, I.V. Barthol, Sr., and Ira Lee "Jack" Barthol; and sister, Annie Mae Barthol. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Stewart, Jason Young, Scott Young, Phillip Hall, I.V. Barthol, Jr., and Gerald Barthol. Honorary pallbearers will be her other nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, December 5, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home in Bastrop, LA.
