Obituary of Lottie Burnett Carpenter

Please share a memory of Lottie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lottie Carpenter was born September 5, 1922, to Frank and Mollie Burnett. She went to her Heavenly home on December 15, 2014. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2014, from 5 to 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 2 PM at the Cherry Ridge Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Post and Bro. Kyle Peters officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Ms. Lottie never met a stranger and was loved by everyone. She was always doing something special for others, and helping anyone who needed assistance. Anyone touched by her kind deeds was truly blessed. She was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church where she would meet with a special group of ladies on Tuesdays to quilt and have fellowship. She also loved being a part of the Keenagers of Cherry Ridge. For over twenty years, Ms. Lottie worked at Billington Drug Store, and then, for thirty-eight years, she worked for Rodgers Pharmacy and Rodgers Hallmark. She loved being around people everyday. Ms Lottie is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Robbin Carpenter; her parents; brothers, Leslie and Elton Burnett; sisters, Ruth "Biddie" Singley, Dollie Shields, Dora Sims, Bessie Rea, Winnie Holland, and Baby sister, Ruby. She is survived by her pride and joy, her daughter, Glenda Joyce Acreman and husband Kenneth, of Bastrop; a very special adopted granddaughter, Tonya Medaries; three very loving great grandchildren, Christian, Etta, and Lauren; and several nieces and nephews. Two of her nieces, Sandra Holley and Karen Lusby, gave a lot of their time to help with caring for Ms. Lottie. Also, much appreciation goes to her hospice nurse, Sheree Welch and her aide Cassandra Johnson, for the love and compassion they gave her. Pallbearers will be James Nall, Warren Walker, Jim Wilson, Jim Hayes, Eugene Copeland, and Lynn Sanders. The Lord blessed Ms. Lottie with a lot of love, and she shared it with everyone she met. She truly is a child of God.
