Graveside services for Mr. Terry J. Tharp are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 16, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Scott Petrus officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. Friday at Golden Funeral Home in Bastrop, LA.
Terry Tharp, age 62, was a resident of Bastrop, LA where he worked as a carpenter and was a member of Oasis Church. He is survived by his son, Terry Lynn Tharp of MT. Pleasant, TX; sisters, Sherry Tharp Jones & husband Harmon of Gilbert, LA, Kathy Carruth & husband Jerry of McComb, MS, Katie Wilder & husband Johnny, Gloria Jurls & husband Clifton, Melissa Haney & husband Doug, Frances Barton & husband Keith, and Odie Barton & husband Doug; brothers, Bill Tharp & wife Carolyn of Oak Ridge, LA, LaVelle Tharp & wife Jeanie of Rayville, LA, Billy Dean Tharp & wife Sarah, Kenny Tharp & wife Stacey, Calvin Tharp & wife Christine, Louis Tharp, Larry Tharp & wife Paige, Ricky Tharp, Johnny Wayne Rizzuto, and William Rizzuto; and one grandson.
Mr. Tharp is preceded in death by his parents, Betty Jean Tharp & Willie M. Tharp; grandparents, Juanita "Granny" & Willie A. Tharp, Charles Childs; brother, B.J. Tharp.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Tharp's nephews.
