Obituary of Evelyn Juanita Baker

Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Juanita Baker are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2015 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Allan Eppinette officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Baker, age 94, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at her residence in Bastrop, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Elwood Baker, Jr., and son, John Michael Baker. Mrs. Baker was a retired school bus driver and a member of First Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She loved gardening, cooking, reading, and playing cards. Mrs. Baker is survived by two daughters, Sandra Coats and husband Andy of Bastrop, LA, Myra Albritton and husband Gary of Farmerville, LA; daughter-in-law, Mary Baker of Bastrop, LA; sisters, Thelma Bryant, Johnnie Rowe, Pat Rose; brother, Charles Atkerson; grandchildren, Christine Gillikin and husband Jay, Robby Coats and wife Lisa, Kevin Baker and wife Dana; great grandchildren, Blake Gillikin, Brice Gillikin, Justin Coats and wife Holly, Morgan Carter and husband Travis, Kollin Baker; great great grandchildren, Ridge Coats, Rylan Coats, Reed Coats; and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Robby Coats, Kevin Baker, Justin Coats, Blake Gillikin, Brice Gillikin, Jay Gillikin, and Travis Carter. Honorary pallbearers are Kollin Baker, Ridge Coats, Rylan Coats, and Reed Coats.
