Obituary of Wilma Allen

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma Allen, age 76, will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, June 23, 2015, in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Allen, a retired bookkeeper and a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 in Mer Rouge, LA. Mrs. Allen was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She loved her grandchildren and was a great artist. Mrs. Allen is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Ruby Winfrey. Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband of 56 years, Curtis Allen; two sons, Mike Allen and wife Marcie of Sterlington, LA, Shawn Allen and wife Ethel of Bastrop, LA; one sister, Phyllis Sisson and husband Billy of Bastrop, LA; six grandchildren, Shelly, Holly, Chasity, DeWayne, Sheena, Doug; two great grandchildren; one niece, Terry Russell of Calhoun, LA; and one nephew, Kevin Sisson of Shreveport, LA. The family will receive friends from Monday from 5 PM until 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
