Obituary of Enoch Lawayne Brown

Funeral services for Mr. Enoch Lawayne Brown, age 87, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Tillou Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Myrick and Rev. Doug Edwards officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Causey Cemetery. Mr. Brown, a retired park ranger with Chemin-A-Haut State Park, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015. He was a member of Tillou Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and deacon for many years. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Doris Brown; daughters, Carol Neathery and husband James, Bonnie Bolding and husband Mark; son, Jerry Brown, all of Bastrop, LA, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Mr. Brown is preceded in death by son, Glen Brown; and two sisters, Martha Keller and Christine Campbell. Serving as pallbearers will be Lane Scott, Shawn Blackard, Steven Brown, Matt Brown, Derrick Vail, and Brady Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be Theron Scott, Tim Musgrove, Vance Goodman, David Montgomery, Charlie Wilson, Dennis Blackard, Mark Bolding, Charlie Coody, and James Neathery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made to Tillou Baptist Church. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Tillou Baptist Church.
