Funeral services for Mr. Edwin Earl Battaglia are scheduled for 2 PM, Friday, June 26, 2015 Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Tracey Ferris officiating. Interment will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10 AM until 2 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Battaglia, age 18, and a resident of Bastrop, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015. He was preceded in death by his brother, De'Lynn Battaglia; his uncle,
Tylan Beach; his cousins, Tylan Battaglia and Dalton Hunt; and by great-grandparents, Charles and Carrie Blood and Jack Battaglia; and step-dad, Prentiss McHenry.
He is survived by his mother, Leighla Battaglia; father Edwin Dowles; brothers, Anthony and Jathan Peoples; grandmothers, Cindy Beach and Brenda Wilson; grandfather, Elmer Battaglia; great-grandmothers, Shirley Bell and Virginia Hawkins; great-grandfather, Billy Bell; great aunt, Joyce Wall; aunts, Selina Battaglia and husband D.J., and Tina Brodnax; uncles, Brandon Beach and wife Patchez; Zachary Beach and Hope Farrar; cousins, Makayla, Demetries, Jr. Tylan Beach, Natalie Farrar, Jax Farrar and Kali and Vivi Brodnax; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Serving the family as pallbearers are, Brandon Beach, Zachary Beach, Robert McDonald, D.J. Jackson, Johnny "Black" Bradshaw, Trevor Jones, and Michael Blood.
