Obituary of Justin Brant Davis

Funeral services for Staff Sergeant Justin Brant Davis, Retired, age 34, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Loch Arbor Baptist Church with Rev. William Sikes and Rev. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment will follow at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Rayville, LA with full military honors. Service is under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Davis was retired from active duty with Louisiana National Guard # 528. He served two tours overseas, one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. He was also a recipient of the Bronze Star medal. Mr. Davis loved to hunt and enjoyed guns. He was military through and through, his highest rank was Staff Sergeant. Mr. Davis assisted during Hurricane Katrina and also assisted with building roads in Alaska. He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Melinda Davis; grandparents, Elmer Ray Davis and Barbara Hahn; daughter, Embry Davis; son, Jake Davis; special friend, Kelsea Reddick Bolton; brother, Matt Marble and wife Stacey; mother of his children, Holly Davis; uncles, Terry Davis and wife Bonnie, Lamar McMillan and wife Donna; aunt, Ava Woodard and husband Bobby Joe; cousins, Jamie Davis, Dusty Davis, Little Pete, Heather Seymour, Donavan McMillan, Ryan McMillan and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and military family. Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his grandmother, Eva Davis and grandfather, Felix Hahn. Memorials may be made to the N.E. LA War Veterans Home @ 6700 Hwy 165 N, Monroe, LA 71203. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the church.
