Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Joyce Tilbury are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 3, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tilbury, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016, at the age of 86. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bastrop, LA, where she loved to attend game night. She enjoyed working in her yard, playing golf and tennis, and going to garage sales. Mrs. Tilbury loved her church, her family, and her friends very much.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Frantz and husband Dugan of Bastrop, LA; sons, Bud Tilbury, Jr. and wife Donna of Queen City, TX, Brad Tilbury and wife Tavie of Carthage, TX, Cary Tilbury, Sr. and wife Kristy of Bastrop, LA; son-in-law, Harry Fulmer of Bastrop, LA; sisters, Effie Fuller of North Little Rock, AR, Evelyn Ramer of Fordyce, AR; grandchildren, Stacy Hammonds, J.J. Goudeau, Lance Tilbury, Barry Tilbury and wife Haley, Chad Tilbury and wife Sheena, Chelsea Tilbury, Miranda Chorette and husband Tripp, John Tilbury and wife Jordyn, Frank Fulmer and wife Sherrie, Kris Fulmer and wife Emily, Keith Fulmer; great grandchildren, Patrick Hammonds and wife Mallary, Collins Hammonds, Lainee Tilbury, Leila Tilbury, Dayton Hollenshead, Dalton Hollenshead, Daisy Tilbury, Kaylee Tilbury, Rylee Tilbury, Waylon Tilbury, Annie Chorette, Karoline Tilbury, Kateland Fulmer, Karli Fulmer, Molly Fulmer, Macy Fulmer, Kinsley Fulmer; and great great grandchild, Carson Hammonds.
Mrs. Tilbury is preceded in death by her husband, Bud Tilbury, Sr.; daughter, Betty Fulmer; her parents, one brother, and three sisters.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to Dr. Carter Cox for all of his time and care.
