Obituary of Charles Marshall Lowery

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Marshall Lowery are scheduled for 2 PM, Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Dusty Walker and Rev. Loyd Trisler officiating. Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery. Mr. Lowery, age 79, and a resident of Bastrop, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016. He loved his family with all of his heart. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Bastrop. He retired from International Paper Company after twenty-five years and from the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office after a career spanning sixteen years. He was an avid deer hunter, as well. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Rosalee McIntyre Lowery; children, Cynthia Lynn Lowery, of Bastrop, Sonja Lowery Harris, of Bastrop, and Charles Keith Lowery, of Bastrop; sister, Betty Jean Rogers of Bastrop; brother, Bruce Lowery and wife Barbara, of Bastrop; grandchildren, Charles Wayne O'Neal and wife Cindy of Bastrop, Daniel O'Neal and wife Candice, of Bastrop, Charity Allen, of Swartz, Stephanie Baptiste and husband Jeremy of Monticello, AR, Elizabeth Hope Boykin, of North East, MD, Christa Joy Wood, of Bonifay, FL, Candace Harris Chovanec and husband Josh, of West Monroe, and Sharla Harris Rodrigne and husband Eric, of Irving, TX; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Mr. Lowery is preceded in death by his parents, Orum and Elsie Lowery; siblings, J.L. Lowery, William "Billy" Lowery, and Ann Lowery; granddaughter, Anna Faith Wood; and great-grandson, Joshua O'Neal. There will be a time of visitation Saturday from 10 AM until 2 PM.
