Funeral services for Mr. Freddy R. "Pop" Cook, age 75, are scheduled for 2:30 PM Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Paron Baptist Church with Rev. Kurt Auger and J. R. Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 8 PM Tuesday at Paron Baptist Church. Mr. Cook was a member of Paron Baptist Church in Sterlington, LA. He served in the Army National Guard and was a die-hard fan of LSU. He was also the well known driver of the race car "Flying Zero". He is survived by his wife, Pat Parrino Cook; mother of his children, Millie Stokes of Sterlington, LA; daughters, Shelly Cook and Terri Smith both of Sterlington, LA; son, Rhodney Cook and wife Sissy of Monroe, LA; step-children, Jeffrey Couch and wife Rebecca of Flowood, MS, Angela Jackson and husband Craig of Ferriday, LA; raised like a son, Srdjan of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Trent Lowery, Kade Hollingsworth, Emma Ball, Whitney Davis, Logan Smith, Justin Cook, Emilee Martinez, Chase and Madison Couch, Allison, Anna Claire and Addison Jackson, and Luka; great grandchildren, Millee, Jonathan and Jackson Davis, Mykah Smith, Jaxon and Chassi Cook, and Braylee; aunt, Inez "Pretty Mama" Peterson; nephew, Shane Cook. Mr. Cook is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Pappy Cook; brother, Joe Mike Cook. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronny Jones, Jerry Hobson, Rick Bowen, Billy George McKinney, Heath Wilson, and Vicky Joe Wisecarver. Honorary pallbearers will be J. M. Roberson, Jerry Wallace, Ronnie Tisdale, Burl McGee, Glenn Smithwick and Ronny Smith.
