Obituary of Nelle Loyless

Funeral services for Mrs. Nelle Loyless, age 87, will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Post officiating. Interment will follow in Beekman Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Loyless, a retired teacher and resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016. Mrs. Loyless was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved her teaching career and also loved quilting, traveling, painting and music. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Loyless is preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Ossie Mae Griffis; husband, Billy Loyless; son-in-law, Marion Kelley; brothers, Joe Griffis, James Griffis; sister, Geraldine Neely; and a grandson, Eric Wilkinson. Mrs. Loyless is survived by a daughter, Sharon Fancher Kelley of Crossett, AR; a son, Jim "Bilbo" Loyless and wife Betty of Bastrop, LA; two sisters, Sue Kinney and husband Gene of Bastrop, LA, Robbie Welch of Pueblo, CO; two brothers, Vance Griffis and wife Beth of Pueblo, CO, Peyton Griffis of Pueblo, CO; sister-in-law, Charlotte Griffis of TX; five grandchildren, Brad Fancher and fiancée Laura, Tiffany Fox and husband Scottie, David Loyless and wife Emma, Jonathan Loyless, Allen Wilkinson; granddaughter-in-law, Amy Wilkinson; and great grandchildren, Bethany Fancher, Dawson Fox, Chayson Fox, Adelaide Loyless, Logan Wilkinson, and Caleb Wilkinson. Serving as pallbearers will be deacons of Bethel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 PM until 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home, Bastrop, LA.
