Funeral services for Mr. Jimmie Ray Boyer, age 76, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Greer Cemetery (Rayville, LA). Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Boyer, the retired owner/operator of Boyer Auto Salvage, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2016 at Cornerstone Hospital in West Monroe, LA. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, camping out and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, John Stephens of Farmerville, LA; two grandchildren, John Stephens, Jr., Evelyn Ann Stephens and the grandchildren’s mother, Pamala Gates.
Mr. Boyer is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Ethel Edna Boyer and brothers, Curtis Boyer and Claude Boyer.
Pallbearers will be; Joey West, Eric Jones, Wesley Emanuel, James LeBrun, Corey Chappell and Casey Chappell.
