Funeral services for Mr. Jay Moore, age 47, of Sterlington, LA are scheduled for 10 AM Thursday, August 11, 2016, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Merrell officiating. Interment will follow in Bonne Idee Cemetery.
Mr. Moore, a Transportation Manager for Mid South Extrusion, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. He was a member of First West Fairbanks. Mr. Moore loved sports, he coached baseball and football, and had a passion for hunting, fishing, and Nascar.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Vivian King Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Nale Moore; father Richard Moore, daughter Kaitlyn Moore; son, Dylan Moore and "adopted son" Tristan VandeGevel; and sister, Ashlea Moore.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Brian Dopson, Tristan VandeGevel, Todd Johnson, Jeff Kennedy, Chris Sturdivant, and Robert George. Honorary pallbearers are Keith Spence, Ron Mason, and Mike Henegan.
There will be a time of visitation Wednesday, August 10, 2016, from 5 - 8 PM, at Golden Funeral Home.
