Clyde Woodrow "Butch" Porter passed away at the age of 71, on August 18, 2016 in Pineville, MO at his son's home.
Butch was born in Bastrop, LA to Clarence and Louise Porter on December 25, 1945. He was a professional house mover with his family owned business. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and nature.
Butch is survived by his son, Jammy Porter and wife Jody; daughter, Leslie Book and husband Perry. Grandchildren, Tyler, Tia and Marty Sandoval; Jonathan Murphy; Brandylynn, Jennifer, and Jacob Porter children of Jammy. Taylor and Marla Book children of Leslie. Three sisters, Sara Williamson, Betty Adams, and Emma Porter.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Louise Porter and his beloved brother, Leo Porter, who passed away on the same day (August 18th) in the Vietnam War.
A private memorial service will be held at a latter date. The family would like to give special thanks to Compassus Hospice of Joplin, MO.
