Graveside services for Mr. Clifton Ray "C.J." Jurls, age 63, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Doug Edwards officiating. Visitation will be held at Pine Grove Church of God Tuesday, September 20 from 5 PM until 8 PM under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Jurls, a member of Pine Grove Church of God and retiree of International Paper Company and Citadel Security, was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed. He loved everyone and was a friend to all. He is preceded in death by his parents, O.B. and Hester Lee Jurls, grandson, Donavon Geoffrey Guyewski and numerous aunts and uncles. Mr. Jurls is survived by his wife, Gloria Jurls, daughter, Katie Day; sons, Stanley Guyewski, Jr. and wife Misty, Jessie Guyewski; sisters, Patricia Jones, Paula Patton and husband Buddy; grandchildren, Devon and Bryanne Guyewski and numerous sisters and brothers in law. Serving as pallbearers will be David Wayne Smith, Ronald Jones, Donald Jones, Dustin Jones, Keith Allen Barton, Doug Haney and Devon Guyewski. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Barton and Louis Tharp. The family would like to give special thanks to Premier Hospice, Dr. Noble and staff, Dr. Khalil and staff, his nurse Katie and his CNN Adrienne.
