Obituary of Leonard Anthony

Funeral services for Mr. Leonard Anthony, a resident of Bastrop, are scheduled for 10 AM, Saturday, November 5, 2016, at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Dusty Walker officiating. Concluding services will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will take place Friday, November 4, 2016, from 6 - 8 PM at Goldens. Mr. Anthony passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at his residence, at the age of seventy-five. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church and loved working in his yard and being outside. He was a retiree of International paper company after forty-one years of service and was a reserve deputy for the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's office for twenty-five years. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Anthony; father, Otha Anthony; sister, Cathy Adams, and brothers, Tony Anthony and Eugene Anthony. Survivors include his wife, Faye Anthony; daughter, Connie Knighten and husband Art; son, David Anthony and wife Sandy; sisters, Louise Wilson and husband Don, and Darlene Ellis and husband Charles; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Don Wilson, Thomas Adams, Garland Nugent, Randy Daigle, Steve Daigle, and Justin Smith.
