Obituary of Phyllis Joyce Sanders

Funeral services for Mrs. Phyllis Joyce Sanders, age 70, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 11 AM on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Victory Tabernacle Church with Rev. Kevin Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until 11 AM Friday at the church. Mrs. Sanders, a member of Harmony Baptist Church and homemaker, passed away November 29, 2016 at St. Francis Medical Center. She is survived by her sons, Johnny LaVelle Sanders and Jeffery Scott Sanders, both of Bastrop; grandchildren, Shelly Duncan, Dusty LaVelle Sanders, Misty Dawn Dew, Kaleb Scott Sanders, Hayden Lane Sanders and numerous great grandchildren. Mrs. Sanders is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Edna Smith; husband, LaVelle Sanders and son, Jimmy Sanders. Serving as pallbearers are: Tommy Sanders, David Dooley, Todd Sanders, Chris Beebe, David Sanders and Zachery Sanders. Memorial contributions may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Childrens Home.
