Funeral services for Mrs. Sandy W. Lucas, age 60, will be held at 1 PM Monday, January 16, 2017 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Bodie Spicer officiating. Interment will follow in Ernest Cemetery, Hampton, AR under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lucas, a resident of Bastrop, LA and a register nurse, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017. Mrs. Lucas was a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time at the camp, working in her yard, and time with her family. Mrs. Lucas is preceded in death by her parents, Roy C. Welch Jr. And Clarice Welch; brothers, Roy C. Welch, III, and Dennis Welch.
Mrs. Lucas is survived by her husband, Donald Lucas; one daughter, Candie Lucas Woodson of Calhoun, LA; one son, Lance Lucas and wife Arish of Bastrop, LA; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Lucas and wife Hannah, Landon Lucas, Caleb Lucas and wife Adrianne, Harley Lucas, Brittany Lucas, Madeline Lucas, T. Wade Idom, Lindsay Woodson; and seven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 PM until 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
