Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Carney Eskew, age 79, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Mr. Robert Shumate II officiating. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Eskew passed away January 23, 2017. Being of the Baptist faith, her love for the Lord was very deep, as was the love she had for her family. Among her various hobbies, reading, crocheting and entertaining family and friends, sitting on the back patio overlooking her garden was her favorite. People would often stop and ask for a tour.
Mrs. Eskew is survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton “Buddy” Eskew; parents; three brothers and one sister.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Brenda Lewis and Edith Bernard for taking such good care of Mrs. Eskew.
