Funeral services for Mr. Curtis Ray West are scheduled for 3 PM, Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Bro. Allan Eppinette officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. West, age seventy-one, passed away after a lengthy illness on January 29, 2017. He was born on February 7, 1945, in Bonita, LA. He was a retired farmer from the Bonita, Jones, and southeast Arkansas area, and was loved by many. He is survived by his wife, Jane Deer West; two daughters, Janene West Zagone and husband Jay, and Kimberly Deer McMullan and husband Melvin; sons, Lee West and wife Dana, Richard Deer and wife Emma, Michael Deer, and Jeremy Deer and wife Claudia; his seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who were his pride and joy; sisters, Elsie Pollock, Irma Coleman, and Serita Fulmer and husband Wade and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. West is preceded in death by his parents, Rayburn and Lavitta West; daughter, Yvette West; sister, Peggy DeBlieux, brothers, James West and Raymond West. Serving the family as pallbearers will be; Don Bendily, Steven Wright, Buddy Wright, Mark West, Keith Sistrunk and Regean Hunter. Honorary pallbearers are: Mitch West, Jason Coleman and Jonathan Wright. Visitation will take place from 1 - 3 PM prior to the service.
