A memorial visitation for Mrs. Emma Mae Crawford Atkins, age 87, retired clerk of court, is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Golden Funeral Home from 10 AM until 12 PM.
Mrs. Emma, a long time member of Central Church of Christ, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017. Mrs. Emma enjoyed life with her family and many friends. She was full of love, laughter and joy and enjoyed traveling the world pursuing her love of collectibles. Mrs. Emma also had a love for the outdoor life, nature and the beauty of its existence. Long walks and the love of flowers and gardening gave her much peace in this life.
Mrs. Emma is preceded in death by her husband, James "Stick" Atkins; parents, William and Mattie Mae Crawford; brothers, W.R. and David; sisters, Iris, Syble and Ividale.
She is survived by her sons, James Ronnie Atkins and wife Sonya, William Bill Atkins and wife Cheryl; granddaughter, Kymberly Roan and husband Jimmy; grandson, Clay Atkins and wife Amy; great grandchildren, Haven and Leila Roan and Walker Atkins.
The family of Mrs. Emma Atkins would like to say a special thank you for the care that was given to her by Dr. Dino Spires, Legrand Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Mrs. Reynolds and staff, and to the many friends who came to visit during that time.
