Obituary of Delbert Sisk

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Delbert Sisk are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, February 3, 2017, which would have been his eighty-first birthday. The services will take place at the Mer Rouge Cemetery with Rev. Phillip McCready officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 PM until 2 PM prior to the service at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Sisk, age 80, was a carpenter of 35 years and worked with Mr. Marvin Ward. He was a loving husband and father who deeply loved his family. He was a life-long resident of Bastrop and he loved to fish and hunt. He is survived by his children, Terry Sisk of Bastrop, LA, Debbie Richards and husband Sammy of Simsboro, LA, and Tracy Shono and husband Pete of Calhoun, LA; sisters, Martha Porter of Bastrop, LA, Ruth Gunter of Bastrop, LA; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mr. Sisk is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Maxine Chaplin Sisk; parents, Tony and Myrtle Curtis Sisk; sister, Lilly Lowther; brothers, James Sisk, Elliot Sisk, Donnie Sisk and great grandson, Peyton Bizeau.
