Funeral services for Mrs. Raydine Marter Doke, age 79, of Mer Rouge, LA, are scheduled for 10 AM Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Horseshoe Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Lonadier and Rev. Francis Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Bonita Road Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1 PM until 8 PM Wednesday at Horseshoe Baptist Church. Mrs. Doke, a retired boat builder, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017. She was a member of Horseshoe Baptist Church and recently was attending House of Prayer International while living with her daughter. She was an avid sportswoman who loved fishing and hunting. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing and gardening. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Ann Doke Tate, Telitha Sue Doke; son, Gaston Crittendon Doke and wife Phyllis; sister, Naydine Martin and husband Hubert; brothers, Tilton Marter, Sr., Jimmy Marter and wife Patti; grandchildren, Tamara Jones and husband Cody, Jason Brown, Joni Brown; great-grandchildren, Mason Morris, Bethany Morris, Cody Jones, Jr., Wyatt J. Brown, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Doke is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Darrel Doke; parents, Gaston and Georgia Marter; sister, Mavis Haley; brothers, Cecil Morgan, Henry Morgan, Jr. and Lucien Morgan. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Marter, Raybon Marter, Thomas Gunter, David Marter, Mason Morris and Jerry Dale Eppinette.
