Funeral services for William Thomas “Tom” Craig, age 85, will be held Tuesday April 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Bonita Road Baptist Church with Brother Casey Johnson & Brother Tony Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Craig, a resident of Bastrop, LA peacefully passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, at his home with his wife, daughter and son by his side. He was a long time member of Bonita Road Baptist Church where he participated in worship and was long time caretaker of the church cemetery. He loved tinkering with his tractors, gardening and just working with his hands. Mr. Craig was retired from several local businesses in the community. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Forrest Craig & Janie Craig Collier; brothers, Robert & Aubrey Craig. Mr. Craig is survived by his wife of 62 years, Melvia June Carter Craig; daughter, Belinda Singo & husband Earle of Broken Arrow, OK; son, Bruce Craig & wife Sheila of Texarkana, TX; grandchildren, Rhondalyn Richardson & husband Nathan, Laura Williams & husband Philip, Gavin Hatcher, Allison Singo, Kelli Harris & husband Mike, Chad Craig & wife Cara; great grandchildren, Anna, Naomi & Abigail Richardson, Brooklyn, Natalie & Nathan Williams, Eden & Abram Craig, Haley & Rachael Harris. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Craig, Mike Harris, Nathan Richardson, Phillip Williams, Gavin Hatcher & Glen Hendrix. Honorary pallbearer will be Jonathan Hendrix. The family received friends from 5 PM until 8 PM Monday April 3, 2017 at Golden Funeral Home.
