Funeral services for Mr. Cleveland C. “Cleve” Lawrence, age 72 will be held at 2 PM Thursday, April 27, 2017 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Douglas Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Lawrence, a resident of Bastrop and retired from Morehouse Parish Sheriffs Department, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 in Branson, MO. Mr. Lawrence was a member of Tillou Baptist Church. He managed Piggly Wiggly until 1982, he then served as a reserve Deputy from 1967 until 1982 when he went full time until he retired in 2010. In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting and fishing, then later he enjoyed traveling. Mr. Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Lavon Lawrence; and infant daughter, Belinda Lawrence; brother, Claude Edward Lawrence, Jr.; and faithful companion, Marty.

Mr. Lawrence is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wanda T. Lawrence; one daughter, Wendy Lawrence of Bastrop, LA; one sister, Ruth Tull and husband Bernie of Shreveport, LA; extended family; and special companion, Rebel.

Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Ratcliff, Ike Brown, John Davis, Jeff Winnon, Brian Shoemaker, Chuck Lord, Antonio German, Danny McGrew, Mike Tubbs, and James Mardis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Williams, nephews, Dee Tull, Tommy Tull, and Richard Tull.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time at Golden Funeral Home.
