Funeral services for Mrs. Jennifer Nicole Travis Stokes are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Mr. Waymon Swain and Bro. Tim Post officiating.  Interment will follow at Causey Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00, Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Golden Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Stokes, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017, at the age of thirty-two.  She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Bobby Lee and Lula Bell Travis; uncle, Donnie Travis, and grandfather-in-law, Charles Johnson.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Vinson Stokes; parents, Scott and Gloria Travis; parents-in-law, Bobby and Pam Stokes; children, Ava Claire Stokes and Nathan Carter Stokes; sister, Heather Travis, grandparents, Tony and Rosie Bordenaro, Glenda Travis, and Peggy Johnson; nieces and nephews, Jason Doyon, Bryson and Briggs Conley, and Isabella Coleman; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was a member of Central Church of Christ and a loving wife, mother and daughter to her family. She was a wonderful and excellent teacher at H.V. Adams Elemetary who loved her children and treated them all as her babies.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Chris Andrews, Jeremy Andrews, Brance Stokes, Josh Coleman, Shaun Coleman, and David Barthol.  Honorary pallbearers are Calvin Lusby and Tommy Sowyers.
