Obituary of Johnie Kathleen Gray Dew

 Funeral services for Mrs. Johnie Kathleen Gray Dew, age 94, will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, June 17, 2017 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Brother Pat Hamilton and Brother Gerald Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dew, a resident of Bastrop and a homemaker, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at LeGrand Health Care.  Mrs. Dew was a member of the Christadelphian Ecclesia. Mrs. Dew loved cooking, sewing, gardening, flowers and singing while she worked. She loved reading her Bible and never met a stranger.

Mrs. Dew is survived by one daughter, Joann Dew Corley and husband Carl of Jena, LA; three sons, Thomas Harold Dew and wife Rose of Sterlington, LA, Ben Patrick Dew and wife Jeanne of Sterlington, LA, Steven Curtis Dew and wife Brinda of Bastrop, LA; two sisters, Betty Gray Wood of West Monroe, Rachel Gray Leachman and husband Royce of Houston, TX; two brothers, Luther Gray and wife Carolyn of Oak Grove, LA, Richard Millikin of Oak Grove, LA; nine grandchildren, Carla Turcotte and husband Rob, Kirby Corley and wife Brandy, Keri McNeely and husband Tony, Sam Dew and wife Misty, Tiffany Bryant and husband Daniel, Brittany Sparks and husband Luke, Megan Parker and husband Dustin, Steven Dew II and wife Nehana, Della Sistrunk and husband Adam; sixteen great grandchildren, Justin Turcotte, Emily Turcotte, Brianna Corley, Robert Corley, Cody McNeely, Jessi McNeely, Eli Dew, Bryce Dew, Ally Bryant, Emma Bryant, Jasmine Sparks, Victoria Sparks, Ruby Grace Sparks, Josiah Dew, Gabriel Dew, Conley Sistrunk, Beau Sistrunk; and a great great granddaughter, Lily Grace Turcotte.

She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas L. Dew; son, Dale Dew; parents, John and Eula Gray; siblings, Ruby Kersh, Martha Sanders, Elsie Wagoner, Anna Lou Gray, Homer Gray and Virginia Davis.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kirby Corley, Tony McNeely, Sam Dew, Steven Dew II, Adam Sistrunk, Daniel Bryant, Justin Turcotte, and Cody McNeely. Honorary pallbearer will be Lucas Sparks, Rob Turcotte, Robert Corley, Bryce Dew and Dustin Parker.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM Saturday at Golden Funeral Home.
