Obituary of Thomas "T.W." William Rhodes

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas “T.W.” William Rhodes, age 79, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2017 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Post officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at Golden Funeral Home.

Mr. Rhodes, a member of the Pentecostal faith, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 16, 2017. He was retired from Houston Alternator service. He loved to sing and spend time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Rhodes is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jeraldean Rhodes; sons, Tom Rhodes and wife Becky, Jerry Rhodes and wife Phyllis; grandchildren, Jeremy Rhodes and wife Chasity, Damian Rhodes, Kaci Rhodes McMillan and husband Kaleb, Chasity Rhodes Barthol and husband David, Kelli Rhodes Marus and husband Casey Marus Jr., Charlie Rhodes Dampier and husband Trey and great grandchildren, Aleah Barthol, Britnee Rhodes, Jaicee Barthol, Jaelin Barthol, Caden Dampier, Emery Marus, Thrice Marus, Kharis McMillan, Bristol Rhodes and one on the way.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Quintin Albert “Nig” Rhodes and Myrtis Layton Rhodes; brothers, Don Rhodes and Ron Rhodes and a sister, Carolyn Kenefick.

Serving as pallbearers are: Casey Marus, Jr., Curtis Mack, JR Jones, Keith Outlaw, Paul Sanders and Chuck Lord. Honorary pallbearers are: Jeremy Rhodes, Damian Rhodes, Kaleb McMillan, David Barthol and Trey Dampier.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Carter Cox for the special care given to Mr. Rhodes during his illness.
