Obituary of Paul Edward "Ed" Green

Funeral services for Mr. Paul Edward “Ed” Green, age 86, will be held at 2 PM Thursday, November 9, 2017 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.

Mr. Green, a resident of Bastrop and a retired cattleman, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017.  Mr. Green was a Veteran of the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his parents, Skip and Viola Green.

Mr. Green is survived by his children, Jan Gentry, Jo Daugherty and husband Jerry, Russell Green, Leslie Jones and husband Roger, Jr.; grandchildren, Jessica Gentry, Jonathan Gentry and wife Elza, Colby Daugherty and wife Stacy, Lindsey Costello and husband Clay, Caleb Daugherty and wife Victoria, John Russell Green, Colby Green, Jaisley Green, Ali Rookard and husband Austin, Corey Williamson and wife Malorie, Joshua Williamson, Connor Jones; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Lanell Middleton and husband Fred; brother Wes Green and wife Clara; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Gentry, Colby Daugherty, Caleb Daugherty, Joshua Williamson, and Connor Jones.

Honorary pallbearer will be Larry Gray.

The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM Thursday at Golden Funeral Home.
