Funeral services for Mrs. Margie Faye McCrary, age 80, of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, January 1, 2018 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Britt Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery.

Mrs. McCrary, a homemaker and member of Central Missionary Baptist Church, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017. She was a devoted wife and mother and also a great cook.

Mrs. McCrary is survived by her daughter, Renee Streeter and husband Jeffery of West Monroe, LA; sons, Randy McCrary and wife Cheryl of Bastrop, LA, Ronnie McCrary and wife Kathy of Bastrop, LA, brothers, Tommy Johnston and wife Gayle of Bastrop, LA, Benny Wayne Johnston of AR; grandchildren, Casey McCrary and fiancé’ Matt Barnes, Jacob McCrary, Courtney Martin and husband Corey, Justin McCrary and wife Tina, Kelsea McCrary, Grace Streeter, Chloe Streeter; two great grandchildren, Audrey Kate Martin and Scarlett Martin.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Lewis McCrary; parents, Benny and Elsie Johnston and sister, Betty Linzay.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Brandon Johnston, Phillip Bennett, Justin McCrary, Jacob McCrary, Bill Berry, Michael Sexton, and Matt Barnes.

The family sends a special thanks to Dr. Carter Cox and his staff for taking such good care of Mrs. McCrary.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 1, 2018 from 12 noon - 2 PM service time at Golden Funeral Home.
