Obituary of Cecil Mae Hayes

Funeral services for Mrs. Cecil Mae Hayes, age 94, are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Post officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery (Taylor) under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:30 - 2 PM service time.

Mrs. Hayes, a homemaker and member of Bethel Baptist Church, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Farmerville. Mrs. Hayes resided in Farmerville, LA, and was formerly of Bastrop. She was a pastor's wife for many years as well as a mighty prayer warrior.

She is survived by her daughters, Pat Miller and husband Jim of Farmerville, LA; Sue Adams and husband Doyle of Mangham, LA;  special daughter-in-law, Pam Hayes; grandchildren, Chris Hayes and wife Tina, Cara Dawn Hayes, Cathy Ann Young and husband Tim, Deborah Lynn Greer and husband Roger, Susan Crawford and husband Jay, Scott Adams and wife Sherry; eleven great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren; niece, Sharon Britt and husband Robert, nephew, Jimmy Malone and wife Laura and several cousins, including special cousin, Evelyn Washam.

Mrs. Hayes is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. E.L. Hayes; parents, Owen and Susie Malone; son, Eddie Hayes, Jr. and brother, James B. Malone. 

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Warren Bryan, Jimmy Malone, Hinkie Hudson, Buddy Richards, Dexter Bryan and Butch Musgrove.

The family wishes to say a special "Thank you" to the staff and caregivers at Arbor Lake Skilled Care Center for taking such good care of Mrs. Hayes.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church at 14489 Crossett Rd., Bastrop, LA 71220 or to St. Jude Children's Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
