Funeral services for J.H. Craig, 80, a resident of Bastrop are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 10,2004, at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Father Bob Inzina officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Craig, a retired employee of International Paper Company died Thursday, April 8,2004 at the Avalon Place in Monroe,La. Survivors included his wife, Lodie Craig; daughter, Krista Morgan and husband Murray of Monroe, LA; step daughter, Ethelene Williams and husband Rick of Little Rock,AR.; sons, James Craig,Sr. and wife Margaret of Belle Chasse,LA, David Craig of Abbeville,LA, Stuart Craig and wife Deborah of Marshall,AR, Damian Craig and wife Karen of Empire, LA.; step son, Michael Cooper and wife Tess of Buford, SC; sisters; Pauline Bolin of Silsby,TX, and Carolyn Sue Stanley and husband Jerry Glenn of Milo,AR; brother, Jerry Craig and wife Shelma of Milo,AR; grandchildren, Shane Morgan, James Craig,Jr., Jason Craig, Marcie Craig, Brandi Eklund, Heidi Faber, Shea Craig, Kara Szitar, Seth Craig, Kayla Craig, Paige Craig and Christian Craig; step granddaughter, Courtney Williams and two great grandchildren. Preceded in death by first wife and mother of children, Frankie Craig; parents, Beula and Harvey Craig; brother, Paul Craig; stepgrandson, Justin Williams. Mr. Craig is a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Serving as pallbearers will be James Craig, David Craig, Stuart Craig, Damian Craig, Seth Craig and Shane Morgan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Lyon, Greg Stanley, Mitchell Stanley, Jerry Glen Stanley, Gary Cooper and Kenneth Heath. A rosary service will be held Friday, April 9,2004, at 6 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetic Association, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or the Alzheimers Foundation.
