Rose Anne was my Kappa Kappa Gamma little sister at UALR, and let me tell you, she was a force of nature from the first time I met her at the Kappa house during rush. We also played on the UALR tennis team together. She came to Little Rock as an 18 year old freshman and lived by herself in an apartment near school. Heck, I couldn't even make it to Fayetteville with my best friends when I was a freshman! The beauty of sorority sisterhood is evidenced in the bond we shared for a lifetime. Despite going our separate ways as adults, we kept in touch sporadically over the years. Several years ago, she contacted me and we, along with our sorority sister, Sue Ann Wheeler Hall, reconnected and spent some cherished, quality time together in the past few years...ALL because Rose Anne set things in motion! For this, I will ALWAYS be grateful!
Prayers, hugs and love to her husband, Mike, who is a wonderful man who treated Rose Anne like the princess she was and the queen she became. Mike's devotion to her for 40 years and especially in the year since she became ill was exactly what God meant for husbands to be and also, to her kids, Erin, Christine, and Doug and their families as y'all navigate the future without her. She loved y'all BIG!
Rest easy, Rose Anne!
