I was not blood kin to the family but was still kin through marriage. Glenda was a very nice lady. Her and Jerry were always kind and accepting of me. It is with heart felt sorrow that she will be missed by one and all. I just found out about her passing.

My nana loved jewelry she had so much of it and she would tell me the stories behind every piece of jewelry she had. Finally one day her and paw took me ring shopping and we shopped all day. We went to 10 different stores and finally found the perfect ring, from then on she admired the ring every time she saw it on my finger and was always so proud of it because she knew that was my favorite piece of jewelry I ever owned.

When I was little I remember feeding all the ducks with my nana and her favorite duck was the white duck with a big puff ball on its head, we named her princess. She would always get so mad when I would chase the them away but couldn’t help but laugh because of how silly I looked chasing ducks around the yard.

Every time I stayed with nana when I was little she would rock me to sleep in my paws big white tee shirt and rub my face and tell me, the sand man was putting sand in my eyes making me sleepy and that there was always a little angel sitting on my shoulder watching over me when I was sleeping.

I remember every night I would stay with her we would stay up watching tv and eating ice cream. The next morning we would wake up early and sit on the back porch and watch the hummingbirds and have long talks about life.

I remember standing on the kitchen stool making Christmas cookies with my nana when I was little and getting so excited to decorate the cookies with her.

To the family of Ms Glenda with my heartfelt condolences and prayers as her wonderful memories keep flashing by in all our hearts. I can hear her laugh at this moment. I know she would say, Cheryl I made it to my forever home. She is free indeed sitting at the right hand of God. She was so strong and courageous. I would say to her, here comes our miracle woman. She had such a pretty smile. I loved her and we just had a special bond through the happy times and the sad times. Her family was her utmost priority. She loved each of you with all the strength she had and that was very much strength. Love to each of you. Cheryl Johnston Atkins
