Memorial funeral services for George “GB” Wilson, Sr. are scheduled for 4 PM Monday, February 10, 2025, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Bro. Tim Post officiating.
Mr. Wilson, a retired truck driver, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the age of eighty-five. He loved his grandbabies dearly and never met a stranger! Mr. Wilson enjoyed tinkering with things and spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his son, George Bracey Wilson, Jr., and wife Brooke of Haughton, LA; sister, Ida Calendar of Emerson, AR; brothers, Charlie Wilson, and wife Lynn of Bastrop, LA, and Dale Wilson of Texarkana, AR; seven grandchildren; niece and caretaker, Donna Cox; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Wilson; parents, W.C. and Bertie Wilson; brother, Carl Edward Wilson; and sisters, Patsy White and Faye Welch.
