Such a sweet person. She and mother had so many good times living across the street from each other. Sharing recipes and goodies. After Dean & I moved back to Bastrop he was always taking her bananas & she loved it. She passed away the same day 2 years after my son Rodney & he loved her. Together again. She will be missed.

Janice and Glen. You’ve been in my prayers for God to continue to strengthen you for tonight and the service tomorrow. I’m so sorry for your loss and pain.
And I’m sorry we can’t be with you, but know you’re being thought of and prayed for.
I have such fond memories of your mom and her laughter and pretty smile from when I was young. Those visits of your family to see us in Mississippi are special ones.
With love. Betty Welch Bradshaw

I got to take care of Ms. Lexie on and off over the years since I moved back to Bastrop. She was always an inspiration to me, always cheerful and pleasant no matter how she felt. Always optimistic. Taught me a lot and I will hopefully remember all of her advice. So sorry for your family's loss, she was a remarkable woman.

While I never had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Maxine, listening to her daughter’s stories of her childhood you could feel the love of the family. Ms. Harper I am truly sorry to hear of your family’s loss. Prayers and peace be with you.

For the last 9-10 years Lexie has been a dear friend who encouraged me in so many ways but especially in my efforts to quilt. She never criticized my work and always had encouraging words regarding my efforts. She loved to read the Bible and we had many lively discussions. She loved writing cards and over the years she reached out to many including me, with a birthday card or a note of encouragement to let us know someone cared and that God loved us! She had the biggest heart and her laugh was even bigger! She loved to tell jokes and her smile lighted up the room. Lexie you were a dear dear friend and I loved you so much and will miss you. Well done, good and faithful servant!
