Obituary of Devon Daniel Parker

Memorial services for Mr. Devon D "Danny" Parker will be 11 AM, Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Oasis Church, 6645 Milton White Rd, Bastrop, LA, with Bro. Mark Parker officiating. Mr. Parker, a resident of Mer Rouge, LA, was born on December 11, 1953, and passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the age of 71. He is the pastor of Oasis Church in Bastrop. He enjoyed fishing, preaching the good news about Jesus, deer hunting, and playing music. Mr. Parker will be remembered as someone who was always willing to help others. He was very well thought of by everyone that knew him. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchild, taking pride in teaching them to hunt and fish. He will be missed dearly. Mr. Parker is preceded in death by his brother Neil Parker. His parents Wanda Love Trim and Marshall Devon Parker. Mr. Parker was a painter by trade and painted both residential and commercial properties. Survivors include his wife, Donna Parker; children, Chad Parker, and wife Amanda Parker, Kevin Parker, and wife Christy Parker; grandchildren, Kayla Parker, boyfriend Corey Clark, Marie Parker, Cheyenne Gray, fiancée Carson Vaughn, Christian Heath; great-grandchild, Annalin Vaughn; sisters Stella Turnbow, and husband Bill Turnbow; and Melissa Fletcher.
