Funeral services for Mr. Melvin Leon Eubanks, age 99, and resident of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 3 PM Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Nichols and Bro Jerry Martin officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 PM until 3 PM, prior to service time at Golden’s. Private interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Eubanks, a member of Central Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon for many years, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He is survived by his children, Marilyn Cox and husband David of Bastrop, LA, Kenneth Eubanks and wife Linda of Willis, TX, Wanda McCoy and husband Mike of Monroe, LA; sister-in-law, Rosemary Eubanks; grandchildren, Missie Champagne and husband Jamie of Sterlington, Natalie Schutz and husband Jeff of League City, TX, Allison Lankford and husband Josh of Farmers Branch, TX, Marisa Webre and husband Brandt of Brusly, LA, Kristen Keener and husband Jeremy of Bossier City, LA; great grandchildren, Canaan Malone of Sterlington, LA, Conley Schutz of League City, TX, Emberlee Schutz of League City, TX, Abigail Lankford of Farmers Branch, TX, Jude Lankford of Farmers Branch, TX, Holland Webre of Brusly, LA, Briggs Webre of Brusly, LA, Cameron Keener of Bossier City, LA, Alex Larche and wife Autumn of Adamsville, TN; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Cox, Wayne Cox, Byron Bucher and wife Andrea, of Houston, TX, Kathryn Byrd and husband Darrell of Oxford, OH; step-great grandchildren, James Taylor Bucher, Emmerson Byrd and Addison Byrd; great great grandchildren, Zaiden Malone, Micah Malone and a great great granddaughter on the way. Mr. Eubanks is preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Inez Calloway Eubanks; parents, Kelly, Sr. and Martha Lillian Duncan Eubanks; grandson, Lucien Max Larche; daughter-in-law, Debra Ann Franklin Eubanks; two brothers; and two sisters. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Dean Sisson, Walter Lester and W.M. Matheny. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southern Christian Home at 100 W. Harding St. Morrilton, AR 72110.
