Funeral services for Mrs. Sherry Humphrey Hall Taylor are scheduled for 10 AM Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Bro. Bob Lonadier officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, prior to the service, beginning at 9 AM. Mrs. Taylor, a resident of Mer Rouge, LA, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the age of sixty-nine. She worked as a Nurses’ Aide for Cherry Ridge Nursing Home and Oakwoods Nursing Home for many years. Mrs. Taylor loved hunting, fishing, and taking care of her cat, puppy, and chickens! She also enjoyed music, listening and singing along to various tracks ever since she was a child. Mrs. Taylor always knew when a new record was set to release and would be there to purchase all her favorites! Though she had no children of her own, Mrs. Taylor enjoyed babysitting her nieces and nephews, and loving those children as if they were her own. She is survived by her husband, Rickie Taylor; step-sons, Rickie Taylor, Jr. of Mer Rouge, LA, Chad Taylor of Mobile, AL, Derek Taylor of Monroe, LA; step-daughters, Toni Ates, and husband Chris of Monroe, LA, Ashley Campbell, and husband Allen of Monroe, LA; nephews, Bruce E. Humphrey, and wife Ashley of Beekman, LA, George DeWayne Humphrey, and wife Cindy of Bastrop, LA, Hunter Levi Humphrey, and wife Victoria of Beekman, LA, William Ray Humphrey of Beekman, LA; nieces, Bridget Major of Bastrop, LA, Crystal Mason Potter, and husband Kevin of Beekman, LA; brother, Bruce Humphrey, and wife Teresia of Beekman, LA; and numerous great nieces and nephews, and other family. Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hall; parents, Roy Humphrey and Doris Johnson; and niece, Mary Humphrey Shipley. Serving as pallbearers will be Rickie Taylor, Jr., Derek Taylor, Allen Campbell, Bruce E. “Bubba” Humphrey, Hunter Levi Humphrey, George DeWayne Humphrey, and William Ray Humphrey. Honorary pallbearer will be Kevin Potter.
