Funeral services for Sherry Turnbow Winkler are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, April 25, 2025, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Bro. Jamie Little officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 5 PM - 7 PM at Goldens.
Mrs. Winkler, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the age of forty-nine. She loved cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Winkler is survived by her children, Lara Winkler and Cortlin Winkler; fiancé’, Howard McBroom, Jr.; mother, Debbie McCowin Ritzell; sister, Andrea Goodman, and husband Kenny; grandchildren, Robert Doyon, Kendall Wimberly, Paxton Stephens, Hudson Washington, Baylor Washington, and Jetson Washington.
She is preceded in death by her father, Andy Turnbow; daughter, Madison Winkler; stepfather, Kerry Ritzell; grandmothers, Opal Turnbow and Julia Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to help offset funeral expenses.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Goodman, David Turnbow, Jemmerio Wimberly, Bo Turnbow, Casey Martin, and Casey Turnbow.
