Funeral services for Mrs. Mary “Ruth” Outlaw are scheduled for 10 AM Monday, June 30, 2025, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Bro. Danny Hawthorne officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 7 PM Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Golden Funeral Home. Ruth Outlaw went home to be with God on Friday, June 27, 2025. She was born on November 17, 1935, in Rover, AR, (Yell County), to Mary Eunice Williams and James Thelmer Lowery. She grew up in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, where she graduated from Cardon Bottom Public School. It was after this that she moved to Bastrop, LA, where she met and married the love of her life, Daniel Kenneth Outlaw, becoming the most wonderful wife and mom a family could ever have asked for. Ruth loved serving the Lord, Greenacres Baptist Church, and her community. She loved to cook for her family, friends and shut-ins, checking on people in the hospital, nursing homes and the sick. Ruth also loved working in her yard and visiting her neighbors. She is survived by her children, Keith Outlaw, and wife Connie of Bastrop, LA, Mike Outlaw of Bastrop, LA, Gail Outlaw-Hofford, and husband Dallas of Farmington, AR; sisters-in-law, Patricia Lowery of Queen City, TX, Pat Richard of Monticello, AR, Kay Medlin of Garland, TX, Gail Lowery of West Monroe, LA, and Mary Boley of Goose Creek, SC. She is also survived by her seven grandsons; one granddaughter; numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Outlaw; sisters, Zurlene Hopper and Sue Aaron; brothers, Doyle Lowery, Marvin Lowery, Sr., George Lowery, and Ted Lowery. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons. The family would like to thank Ruth’s neighbors and friends for all the love and support they have shown. A very special thank you to Joyce and Barry Priest and to Lynette Fife, for all they have done throughout the years. Also, a special thank you to each and every person working at Cherry Ridge Skilled Nursing. The love you gave is felt by us all. Thank you for all the visits and calls to mom. Her last days were filled with love and joy!
