Obituary of Lewin Dee Gray

Funeral services for Mr. Lewin Dee Gray, age 46, are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, September 5, 2025, at Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Joey Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 PM until 2 PM, service time Friday at Goldens. Interment will follow in Mer Rouge Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Lewin, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025. He was a member of Tillou Baptist Church and he dearly loved his Lord and Savior. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and riding motorcycles. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and he was always willing to lend a helping hand, even to those he didn’t know. He was a man of many trades working as a mechanic as well as woodwork. He also worked as an equipment operator and handled dirt work for many companies over the years. He will always be remembered for having such a big, caring heart. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Gray; daughter, Cadence Gray; life partner, Rachel Little; bonus children, Josey Brown, Joshua Little, Tanner Williams, and Vayda Rae Brown; sisters, Kristene Gonzales and husband Brian, Katy Adcock and her husband; brother, Elton Gray and wife Cheryl and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Gray is preceded in death by his father, Wayne Gray; brothers, Wayne Allen Gray, Robert Gray and Von Thomas. Serving as pallbearers will be Wesley Gray, Tommy Hill, Kevin Vail, Jason “Red” Austin, Joshua Little, and Ben Gray. Honorary pallbearers will be Tanner Williams, Charles Anderson, Dave Farrar and Ed Haltom.
