Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Hattaway are scheduled for 10 AM Saturday, September 6, 2025 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Post and Dr. Clyde Sanchez officiating. Interment will follow in Bartholomew Methodist Church Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Goldens.
Mrs. Hattaway, a retired Rental Manager and member of Bayou Oaks Baptist Church, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025 at the age of ninety. She was a loving wife, mother, and fondly known as “Bama Sarah” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Brooks Hattaway; children, Reese Little and wife, Dewana, Kathy McGuffin and husband, Bob, Archie Little and wife, Tammy; sister, Katherine Lolley; brother, Johnny Naff and wife, Cassie; grandchildren, Elizabeth Allen, Frannie Landry, Rusty Little, Andrew McGuffin, Trent Little, Genea Maxwell; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Mrs. Hattaway is preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Maggie Nell Naff; sister, Marjorie Webber; and grandson, Jason Allen.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Marshall Daniels, Robert Cherry, John D. Hattaway, Steve Allen, Neal McVay, and George Lopez.
