Funeral services for Mrs. Chuen “Lek” Pennington are scheduled for 10 AM Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Mr. Joe Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, September 15, 2025, from 5 PM - 7 PM at Goldens.
Mrs. Pennington, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the age of seventy-six. She loved gardening, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Pennington is survived by her daughter, Lanlie Pennington-Tubbs and son-in-law, Mark Tubbs; grandchildren, Amber Tubbs and Ryan Tubbs; two great-grandchildren; six sisters; and one brother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Allie A. Pennington; her parents; and one brother.
The family of Mrs. Pennington requests that all those planning to attend her funeral services Tuesday would consider wearing bright and vibrant colored clothing!
