Funeral services for Alice Paulette Crymes are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Tillou Baptist Church, with Bro. Taylor Freeland and Bro. Doug Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in LA Ark Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, prior to the service, beginning at 9 AM. Mrs. Crymes was a member of Tillou Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and “Nanny.” Mrs. Crymes was known for being able to do anything she set her mind to: Painting, sewing, baking cakes, molding porcelain dolls, and arranging flowers. Mrs. Crymes loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Crymes is survived by her children, Malinda Adams, and husband Rodney, Roland Crymes, and wife Cindy, Rosetta Mercer, and husband Freddy, Terry Crymes, and wife Carla, Sonya Smith, and husband Johnny; sisters, Gilda Reeves and Naomi Wharton; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Crymes; parents, Burett and Marie Reeves; sisters, Bernice Reeves and Lynette Harden; brothers, Alvin Reeves, Paul Reeves, George Reeves, and Tom Reeves; grandson, Jeremy Yates; and granddaughter, Brittney Crymes. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Scott Mercer, Zac Crymes, Ryan Crymes, Jay Crymes, Joshua Smith, Cody Crymes, and Wade Yates. The family would like to give a special thank you to Oak Woods, Premier Hospice, all the aids and staff at Oak Woods, and her favorite nurse, Joey McLarrin, for always going the extra mile for her to make her comfortable. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Crymes to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
