Obituary of Larry Michael "Dugan" Frantz

Funeral services for Mr. Larry Michael “Dugan” Frantz, age 72, are scheduled for 10 AM Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Allan Eppinette officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will he held from 5 PM until 7 PM, Tuesday, September 23 at Goldens. Mr. Frantz, a resident of Basrtop, LA and retired construction worker, passed away September 20, 2025. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and motorcross but most of all he loved spending time with his family, attending family cookouts, and being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His laugh was bigger than life and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Frantz; children, Stacy Gentry and husband Tab of Bastrop, LA, J.J. Goudeau and wife Laura of Bastrop, LA, Josh Hagan and wife Kelly, Julie Johnson; grandchildren, Patrick Hammonds and wife Mallary of Bastrop, LA, Collins Hammonds and wife Ashton of Bastrop, LA, Scarlett Goudeau of Bastrop, LA, Sawyer Goudeau of Bastrop, LA, Gabriella Goudeau of Bastrop, LA, T.J. Gentry and wife Miriah; great grandchildren, Carson Hammonds, Carter Hammonds, Leighton Stephenson, Lylah Kate Stephenson, Hardy Hammonds and Thomas Gentry, all of Bastrop, LA; siblings, Juanita Wheeler and husband Terry of Owensboro, KY, Jean Phillips and husband Floyd of Owensboro, KY, Ruby Bray of Owensboro, KY; brothers-in-law, Cary Tilbury and wife Cheryl, Brad Tilbury and wife Tavie, Bud Tilbury and wife Donna and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Frantz is preceded in death by his father, James Bernard Frantz; mother and step-father, Anna and Oren Figgins; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bud and Joyce Tilbury; sister, Reba Royal; brothers, Tom Frantz and Baldi Frantz and sister-in-law, Betty Fulmer. Serving as pallbearers will be Collins Hammonds, Patrick Hammonds, Cary Tilbury, John Tilbury, J.J. Goudeau and Tab Gentry.
